Mobile App: Ability to take multiple photos while offline using the File Upload field

Hi there, I created a form to get data for quotes

I want to be able to take multiple pictures of each room. At first I used the "Take photo" widget, but that only allows me to take one photo, and as i don't want to limit the amount of photos I don't want to create 20 duplicate "take photo" fields

I then used the "Upload File" field which seemed to work well as it accessed my camera and I could take as many as Iike.

When I tried it at a site, and hence was not on wi-fi anymore, (I did make the form available offline), the upload file field changed and again only allowed me to take and upload a single picture.

I can't seem to find any setting to change it. Could you let me know if there is a way to fix it or another field/widget that will allow multiple pictures offline?

    Thanks

    Morne

    Hello Morne,

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

I created an offline form and tested it. I was able to select multiple images and submit the form. However, it works a little bit differently than the online form. You will have to select all images at once in offline mode. Please press and hold the image to select multiple images. I uploaded 4 files in my test form.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you need further assistance.

    Hi Zahra.
I understand that you can upload multiple pictures from the device when offline. The problem is not uploading the pics - it is taking the pics and attaching them in each section where there is the “file upload field”
When you select upload file from (in my case) my iPad, it gives the option to upload a file or take a picture with the device camera - which is what I need. You then take a picture and it will be attached to the form. And then I want to take more pictures. But when you follow the same process above and take another photo , it overrides the first picture with the latest one you took.
This only happens on the offline form.
If I’m online and I do the above, every new picture will be a new attachment.
We take a series of pictures in each room in a house and I wanted to have them in each section of the form ( for example when you inspect the bedroom you attach the bedroom pics and when you move to the kitchen you attach the kitchen pics there. I hope that makes sense?

Unfortunately, taking multiple images in a single File Upload field is currently not supported in offline mode.

I have instead forwarded a feature request for it.

You will be notified here as soon as there is any update.
