    How to recieve email notification at requested email address

    When I set up an email notification and test it, the email goes to the wrong address.

    In the form, as I fill it out for my client (Helanie Scott), her email address appears in the bottom right. I change that email address to mine. When I test the notification in the next window, a message tells me that the email has been sent to my client, not to me.

    When I return to the setup, my email address still appear in the Recipient field.

    What to do?

    @Peter,

    Thank you for contacting us. You need to setup an autoresponder so that whenever a user fills in their email address on the form the email will go directly the users email who filled out the form.

     

    Please try this form http://form.jotform.co/form/40093599647871 you should be able to receive the email when you fill your email address in the Email field.

    As my support request indicates, I've been throught the process you've repeated above. IT DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY! I set my address and it sends to another address.

    Please read my question again:

    Test button will always send the test notification to the main email adress.

    To really test the new recipient, simply fill the form out and submit it

    Maybe to clear it up a bit, since I had a similar issue. 

    The test-mail will be sent to the a-mail address that is set in your jotform profile. So if you want to change that you have to change in it your jotform-profile.

    What samjatin said is correct and thank you for the additional clarification of that. The Test Mail Button basically goes to the Account Email as previously stated and that is also tied to your profile by default. Therefore if you wish it to be the same email that you want your Notification to be sent to each time it is better to edit it and put that as your profile email address to continue it so.
