How to select options and then remove it from the other identical questions?

Asked by actrarowingactorgau on January 13, 2014 at 06:14 AM

    Hi

I would like to post a question allowing people to rank four options in order of preference.

i.e. please rank the following four books in order of preference.

Then I provide the names of four books. Candidate then choses first preference and so on. I would like to set it up so that once they have allocated a book to the first preference it is removed as an option in the following three preferences.

Is this possible? If so I would really appreciate any help.

    POST then and

    Hello actrarowingactorgau,

Unfortunately, such feature in not available currently.

There are two options to achieve your requirement:

You can download your form's source code and add custom JavaScript code. Please be noted that if you embed your form using it source code, any changes you make to your form in JotForm editor will not be visible in your web page. You will have to update the changes in the form's source code and embed it again.

Another options is to take advantage of asmselect widget. This is very close to your requirement and should solve your problem. Take a look : http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/asmselect

Take a look at this demo form: http://www.jotform.co/form/33364465871865

Do get back to us if you want to take the custom JavaScript code route and we will surely help you as much as we can.

    Thank you!
