I can't reply via email to forms submitted in my inbox

    Hello,

I can't reply via email to forms submitted in my inbox. is this because I have already sent a reply? Are there limits to the number of replies? I am on a free plan.

Also, I want to change my account email and get notifications. How do I do this? I use the settings info etc and it still reverts back to my original email.

    Thank you,

    Narelle

    Hello Narelle,

I understand that you are not able to reply to submissions from Inbox. I don't think that there is a limit on the free account on sending emails. I cloned your form and was able to send emails successfully.

I have cleared your form cache, please try again and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Zahra,

Thank you for your assistance. Unfortunately the reply function is still not working. I have added a screen shot to show you. In 'TO' section no email comes up and I don't know what the form submission email is. Can't find it. hence, the 'SEND' button cant be clicked. Thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Narelle

I did check your form and found that you have not added any email field. That is the reason why when you click on reply in inbox page, the "To" field does not show any email address.

Though you have added fields "Applicant One: Email" & "Applicant Two: Email", they are not email field but "Short Text" field. Please check the screenshot below:

For the submissions you have already received, you will have to manually input the email address in the to field.

For the new submission that you will receive, you can hide the existing fields for email and then add the built-in email field. This will ensure that the existing email data is not deleted, and you can reply to a new submission directly without having to add the email manually in the to field. The following guide should help you how to hide fields in form: https://www.jotform.com/help/434-how-to-hide-form-fields

    Hope this helps.
