Is there a way to generate a confirmation number to be included in email notifications, other than the Submission ID? The Submission ID is too long and cumbersome to be used as a confirmation number. Thanks.

Thank you for contacting us. You could try using the Unique ID widget. This widget increments by 1 whenever there is a new submission. You can define a pattern like the illustration below:
However, you still need to use the submission ID for cases like editing the form like below:

Thanks! I used the Unique ID Widget, and satrted the numbers at 1000. The value shown in my Google spreadsheet, though, is "01/21/2014 10:01:00". Any idea why that happened and how I can fix it?

Hello, to understand the matter properly. The field of the Unique ID widget is giving you a date?
At this time I have made a test on an example form with a UniqueID field. Then integrated that example form to Google Spreadsheet. This is how it currently displays the uniqueID:
I've also tested your cloned form and it appears to give the data properly. Kindly check that the unique ID has no type of formatting.
Do let us know if the issue persists. Thank you.
