How can I test my form before I "launch" it publicly?

Asked by jotformlinds on January 21, 2014 at 03:47 PM

I have a form built with PayPal integrated into it.  I also have a Thank You message drafted.

I would like to test the whole process before I "sell" it to the committee I'm working with...  in other words I would like to complete a mock registration, receive the Thank You message, and see how the information shows up in the submission reports.  Is this possible?  And will it require me to submit an actual payment through PayPal?

Also, once I'm ready to "launch" the form to the public, is there anything special that I have to do besides hitting "enable"?

Thank you for contacting us. You can test the part where you make a submission but the paypal payment needs to be an actual payment made through your paypal form. What I suggest you to do is make the paypal field not required so you can skip the part where you will be redirected to paypal while making some test.

Is there anything special that I have to do besides hitting "enable"? No need to do anything. Once your form is enabled it will be live. You can now embed your form into your website using an embed code. Please see this section on how to embed your form and which code to use http://www.jotform.com/help/67-Which-Form-Embed-Code-Should-I-Use.
