    POST data not received from custom thank you page

    Asked by Max Passoni  on January 23, 2014 at 05:41 AM

    Hello,

    recently, with a free account, I designed a form, customized the "thank you page" and enabled the "send POST data" option, and I was able to receive the data via POST on a custom thank you page.

    Now, with a jotform pro account, it looks like I'm no longer able to do this. Specifically, if I check the $_POST variable on the custom thank you page, I see it's empty even if I filled the form, customized the "thank you page" and enabled the "send POST data".

    Am I missing something?

    Thank you for your time and sorry for my english

    Max

    Hello Max,

    Thank you for contacting us. Did you follow the guide on how to send POST data using PHP? I can see that you have enabled the Send POST feature on your form. Can you paste your PHP script here so we can also check and replicate it on our end.

    I just tested my form that has a POST feature and was able to send the data. You can use pastebin to paste your sample POST form code.

    Hi,

    thank you for the quick reply. I took a look to the guide and I don't see any difference with my form.

    Basically in the php page there's some code that gives an interface to an ecommerce system, but even if I try to put this in the page

    <?php
    var_dump($_POST);
    print_r($_POST);
    ?>

    I don't get any element in the POST array.

    Hi Max,

    Can you please try also following this guide -How-to-Post-Submission-Data-to-Thank-You-Page to test print the post data of the form.

    Make sure the Send Post Data is set to Yes on the form.

    Update us of the test result.

    Thanks.

    Hi Max,

    I found out the problem. It seems related to the language of the form builder you are currently using right now. Anyway, I have now fixed that form for you. Please make sure to use "English" language on the form builder while setting Send Post Data. It should have (Yes/No) options, then set the dropdown to Yes to enable Post Data with your form.

    Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

    Regards!
