Populate embedded form hidden fields with values from main page

Asked by chrislopezz on January 24, 2014 at 12:05 PM

I have embedded a Contact Form in my site. Now in this form i have created 2 hidden fields.

    1.) Company Name

2.) Return URL (for setting the new THank you return URL page)

Is it possible to populate these 2 fields with my own values and send them into the form submission such that the company name is stored for this form and the return thank you URL is set according to this hidden value i send accross ???? Hope you get my drift here!

    Thanx in advance!

That's possible. You can populate data to your form fields using URL parameters.

Bolded text are the hidden field names and the highlighted ones are the values. Please take note that you don't need to write http:// on the return link value, you should start with www to avoid issues on thank you URL redirection.

Now, in order for the form to redirect on to the given return link value, you have to add thank you condition to your form. Example:

    Example condition:

Here's how you can get your hidden field variable:

Thank you for your inputs. Much appreciated.

Also i found out that if you put a "http:{return_link}" value in the Thank You settings for Custom URL ... it picks this value and redirects accordingly. Didnt know about the "conditional" option ... so will test that out too.
