The '#' sign breaks pre-population to another form.

    This is not encoding '#'

Try adding a '#' to https://www.jotform.com/21307841590451, it will not work.

It is working properly on my end.

Here is a demo form: https://form.jotform.com/212033014672947

If it is not working on your form, please share the form URL.

If URLENCODE would work on all fields, there would be no issue. Seems like there's a bug and it won't work on anything that is not a long text field.

Alexander, I was under the impression that I cannot use prepopulate in my use case?

The client is filling out a form and is redirected to a PDF form immediately upon submitting.

    Thanks for your reply,

Once you use our Pre-populate App and create a pre-populated link with this app for your form - this way should work for you as well.

Please, let us know if you have any further questions.

No. That is a different product and not what I am referring to.

My use case is the user enters their own information. Upon submitting the information, they are automatically redirected to a new form.

I'm not sure who would use the prepopulate app, but it is not relevant to us. Asking clients to click on "generate URL" and then copy-paste into the browser is for the 1990s.

    Thanks for your reply.

Please, could you correct me if I understand it wrong - You want to pre-populate the # sign from one form to another one, am I correct?

    Looking forward to your reply,

    Alex

Please, take our apologies for the inconvenience.

During my tests, seems I was able to replicate your issue:

Information that starts with the # sign:

    Plain information:

We have reported this issue to our developers for further investigation. Please, note that the support team doesn't have the information about the ETA.

However, if we receive something from our developers, we will surely notify you.

    Thanks,

    Alex

    Hi,

I have found a solution/workaround to your problem.

To solve this problem, you need to modify the redirected URL.

1-) Go to Thank You Page configuration panel in the form builder.

2-) Update every text field on the link so that each has the prefix 'URLENCODE:' as in the image below.

    Example form: https://form.jotform.com/213222252674954

Please, let us know if there are any problems.

Based on my tests if you add 'URLENCODE:' to all form fields, it will work properly.

    Demo form: https://form.jotform.com/212033014672947

I also checked your form and you did not add 'URLENCODE:' to all form fields.

Please add it and test the form again.

Please read through this thread. I tried that, it didn't work. Your colleague gave me a form to test it out on and it did not work. The form doesn't have URLENCODE because when I tried adding it, it did not work.

    Did something change?

ETA: The solution you proposed had already been tried, as documented in this thread. If the bug was fixed, please let me know.

    Hi,

As you can see in the screen recording sent by my colleague @Nik_M, the form is working as you require.

Please test the form he sent. I have tested it and the symbol "#" is being sent to the second form normally.

Please let us know if you require any further assistance.
