How to take survey from selected persons?Asked by niru3233 on February 03, 2014 at 12:27 AM
I want to take confidential surveys, and from selected people only. That is only he/she can submit the form if htey share the submission link with anyone else they should not be able to submit it. Can we do this using Jotform.
The only way I can think of to accomplish that would be to configure a condition to show the survey only if certain email addresses are entered into the form's email field. As an example, if any email other than the three specified in the condition of this demo is entered, the rest of the form will remain hidden. Here is the condition:
If they will enter another email, will they be able to submit the form.
And this is not so secure as people can enter wrong email-id. Can we give IP address field, so that only certain IP address's are allowed. Can we do like this that once any-particular email-id has been entered It can't be entered again by anyone, then we can get one-submission from one email-id and that also the chosen one's.
If this is not possible with jotForm can you please tell me any other method to achieve this.
Base on my colleague's workaround, there is no way to use other email address to submit their entries/submission since you configured a condition to a certain email address. If the condition of your form doesn't meet were they enter the wrong email address, they can't continue the survey or submit their entries. You may try this demo form created by my colleague: http://www.jotformpro.com/form/40332460962955
With regards on your other inquery, we suggested you to open/create another thread for further assistance.
We have a feature in the form builder called Unique Question where a specified field will only accept one occurrence of any entry. Please see this guide on how to enable it. So, in my demo's case, if E-mail were to be selected as that field, only one entry would be accepted for each of the three emails specified in the condition. In other words, the form would only accept a total of three (3) submissions.
Ahh... never mind. I see my colleague Carina has already addressed your query. (I should have taken the hint from pinoytech's reply!)
