How can I include a drop down menu for common prefixes in the Full Name field.Asked by cmaaust on February 03, 2014 at 04:56 AM
Would there be a way to include common prefixes (Ms, Miss, Mrs, Mr) for the Full Name field as a user selectable drop down menu rather than having them type it out as it is now?
Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, our "Full Name" field does not have a feature to modify what input field it uses. All sections are for the moment are plain textboxes.
However, it might be possible for this to do but you are going to use the form source code and host it on your server as HTML file. Then by editing the Prefix textbox and convert as a dropdown box using standard HTML code.
However, the fast way to do is to create a separate drop down field for the Prefix. Please see this demo form. Please let us know if this sample is something that can be considered on your end. Thank you
It's possible to inject CSS to make the prefix appear to be part of the name field, as in this form. The only thing is that it would appear as a separate entry in the submission records. (Autoresponses could be edited to make the prefix appear on the same line as the name but you won't be able to use the Hide Empty Fields on Emails feature.)
It would certainly be useful to have the option to change the Full Name field's prefix to a dropdown. As such, I have submitted a ticket requesting it.
