Word counters and Print button malfunction in IEAsked by Alliegg on February 03, 2014 at 11:15 AM
My form works fine in Firefox and Chrome, but malfunctions in IE. I've created forms similar in length and functionality, and they worked fine. Most of the issues occur in fields towards the bottom of the form:
The word counter doesn't work - they don't count the words as text is typed in. (The first question with a word counter is Business Description/Elevator Pitch).
Print Form - Nothing happens when the Print Form button is clicked.
ISSUES I CAN LIVE WITH:
Checkbox field - I've enabled an "Other" field at the bottom of the list of checkboxes. The field won't allow anything to be typed into it. (See the Certifications & Registrations question).
There's only one set of conditional fields, and they don't work. On the Geographical Area question, if "Regional" is selected, then "Indicate which area of the US your company services" question is to be revealed. The latter field is always present. This last issue isn't critical.
I've tried uploading the form using different methods, but without success. In some cases, when testing the form by filling it out, it just crashes.

We apologize for this inconvenience. Concerning the Word counters, it is working fine on IE 8,IE 9 and IE 10. However, it seems that it is not working for IE7.

May we ask what is the version of your IE and what operating system did you use at the time of this issue?
For the rest of the inquiry concerning the Print Form, Checkbox(Other) and the Condition issue, please create separate threads for them so that we can escalate them to higher support should in case it is needed after doing troubleshooting on their own threads. I'm testing in IE9 in Windows 7 and IE9 in Windows Vista. I re-tested after receiving your email and it worked fine - YAY!
My colleague is testing in IE 10 in Windows 7. The counter still isn't working - see screen shot:
The counter is working fine to my end using the same OS and Browser Version.
I guess this is related to the IE Compatibility so I recommend to kindly check and enable it for Jotform.
