Integrations: Filepicker Integration not workingAsked by markashton on February 03, 2014 at 11:50 AM
Unless I'm mistaken ... the filepicker function accessed from the Integrations button doesn't work.
Am I correct?
Don't go poking around in my account ... there's no form being developed with this ... I can do it by other means ... i just had a look for another function ... saw the filepicker one ... tried it ... nothing seems to happen
The Ink File Picker Tool can be also found under Widgets section which works perfectly fine just in case you've missed.
Regarding on your report, I was able to reproduced it here so I have now brought this to our developers attention for a quick resolution.
Thank you once again. Regards!
.... which works perfectly fine just in case you've missed.
alright if you don't care anything about your Amazon S3 path ... which I do ... and anybody else who is professional ....
I have a clever workaround ... unfortunately no one else does.
Mind sharing the workaround Mark?
If you have an existing filepicker integration that is pre-widget .. configured to your filepicker account and configured to your Amazon S3 bucket ... then you can clone the form and change the path and it will work.
Please don't clone my forms and try it ... these are bespoke forms that clients pay me for ... it won't work changing the Filepicker API anyhow ... I tried this as I have multiple filepicker apps going on with different API keys.
It still works ... just that you will have all image files on your root folder ... so there's no real organisation possible.
Bottom Line ... needs fixing ... the workaround I cite is most likely not relevent to other users
However ... the filepicker thing is brilliant ... so i don't want it broken or anything ... it does need a look at from your end ... a bit of testing ... unless Ken wants to talk to me and I'll explain iof he posts anything.
No Problem Mark, We get and respect your wishes and privacy concerns. We do appreciate you taking the time to bring this to our attention. I will additionally add some further notes to the report for reference about what you mentioned as well. We will try our best to have someone look at this as soon as possible.
I have tested the implementation of Ink Filepicker from the Integrations button ... and it seems to work.
am I correct in undersatding that you fixed this problem
Yes, that's correct. Sorry that we didn't inform you about this before.
