Does the user have to wait for the file to fully upload before clicking "Submit"? If yes, what happens if they leave the computer for a while, the file is done uploading, and they never come back to click "Submit" - does the file still get received?Page URL:

I'm assuming that you're referring to the multiple file upload feature.
Yes, the user has to wait for the file to be fully uploaded before he can submit. If the user submits before the the completion of the upload, an alert will appear if the user wants to pursue with the submission as the file being uploaded won't be saved.
When the user was uploading a file and it completed, then took a while before the user submits the form, the files uploaded will stay in a temporary area. It will be deleted once the user closes browser window or it will still be submitted once the user submits the form.
I hope this clears your concern about multiple file uploads.

Thank you. So if someone spends an hour uploading a file and walks away from the computer and the computer turns off after the upload is done but before Submit is clicked, then no file upload will ever make it to me, correct?
May I strongly suggest that a "submit" button can be clicked that says "if you're done selecting files, click here to submit immediately after the upload is done so you don't have to wait around and come back - just don't close your browser window until you receive confirmation that the upload has completed" (in less than 1,000 words ;) ?
Especially since JotForm + Dropbox caters to people looking to receive large files (like myself) - for which JotForm upgrade would be required - and having to remember to come back and click Submit isn't super friendly for clients.
Thank you very much.

Requests for "auto-submit after upload" have been made by some of our users a couple of months back. I believe that this is one of those features that can be called a 'lifesaver' since it allows for a higher submission success rate. I have already created a report ticket for this feature in the past. Unfortunately, there is still no word yet from our development team.
Our developers will make an announcement if the feature gets implemented. You may also post on the link that I gave to show your support. Feel free to contact us again if you have other queries or concerns.

Thanks for the heads up. Let me also forward this thread to our dev team so you will get updates once the requested feature is added to JotForm.
