    Outlook shuts down when opening Jotform response email

    Hi-

    Several people on staff here at Greater Chicago Church have been having the problem that when they receive a response email from Jotform in Microsoft Outlook and they click to view the email Outlook will shut down and they receive an error message. Hoping you can help us with this.

    Hi Lydia,

    Sorry for the inconvenience that may have caused. Can you please provide us screenshot of the error message that they are referring for us to investigate the issue and for further assistance?

    Ive attached the screenshot. Im not sure if this is something on Jotforms end or on Microsofts. I tend to believe that it is Jotform simply because this doesnt happen for any other email.

    Hi, thanks for reporting this, I have been able to receive emails from JotForm in my Outlook account.

    I see no screeshot attached. Plesase try to embed the image into the post again. Let us know if the issue persist as well.

    Its Outlook that is on a desktop, not sure if that makes a difference.

    What version of outlook do you have?What is the Operating system.

    We want to try and reproduce the issue and rule out the cause.

    Can you please try to use a custom sender address on your form email alert?

    How to Add a Custom Sender Address to an Email Alert

    This will switch a sending source from our Amazon SES account to our own mail server, so there is a chance that this will fix the issue. If this does not help, please let us know.

    Alternatively, you can switch your email alert(s) from HTML to Plain Text format. It should help.
