    Dynamic Forms

Asked by Luis Magana  on February 13, 2014 at 03:47 PM

Hello you have a very nice and easy to use form. We are magento eCommerce and would like a dynamic form where customers can create an "outdoor patio package" consisting of X amount of furniture pieces. Would like for user to be able to add more product to the package form by specifing "Add another item" where after they click the button to add another item a field or fields get pulled up where then they can input in a text fied area or dropdown the types of outdoor pieces they want. Is this possible with your form? Thank you for your time.

The most simple way to add items to an order would be utilizing the Payment tools. In regards to the functionality you want, this may be possible utilizing conditional rules to hide fields, so that they only appear if needed.

Kindly review the following guides for more information:

    How-to-Hide-or-Show-Multiple-Fields-at-Once-Based-On-a-Single-Conditional-Entry

I would suggest to try the Form Builder out, once you have your form started, do let us know if you need further assistance to help you better. Thank you.

Yes I gave it a try and I saw alot of neat widgets. What I am looking for is to be able to control dropdowns dynamically meaning that the 2nd Dropdown select option is dependent on what they select for the first dropdown. I was not able to achieve this with the available tools or maybe I over looked something? Can you help and is their a solution using JotForm? Thank you for your time.

    Hello Luis,

I can see that you have already started doing your form like what my colleague suggested in his previous post this can be achieved by applying a conditional rule so the filed dropdown behaves exactly the way you want it.

A sample form that might be close to what you want http://form.jotform.co/form/40067380355856.

I've also noticed that you are still using your guest account Jotform has a starter plan which is a Free account this will increase your limit compared with guests accounts. Please use this link to register a free account http://www.jotform.com/signup.
