Is there a way to let a user submit a form pre-filled with data from a previous form

Asked by FNSWDC on February 14, 2014 at 12:04 AM

I have a form that a requires a user to enter details of an offence at a match. They may have multiple offences at the same match. Is there a way for them to enter a second offence as separate submission.

Basically I want the user to be able to fill the first form and submit. Then have to option to fill in a second form for the same match, where their and the match details are prefilled from the previous form submitted.

Yes, you can prefill some of the form fields on a separate submission by using two features:

    1. Using a pre-population URL to pass the values from the previous submission to the new one

    2. Using a Thank You URL to redirect user to a new - pre-populated form.

Place the prepolulation URL into the thank You URL.

To activate it, you can add a field on the form where the submitter can decide to add another submission, then using that field, create a conditional rule to redirect the user to the thank you URL.

Is this the form you want to do this on? https://www.jotform.com/40437505157856

Which fields do you want to pre-populate? We can help with this, please let us know.
