When using the Configurable List Widget, is it possible to have a column where each row has different fix values?

For example, if you want businesses to fill in their opening times, you want the rows of the first colum prepopulated with the weekdays. The only solution I found so far is prefilling the forms. Is there another way within the widget? Thanks

Hi Tomas_Paloma, thank you for reaching us.

If you would like to have a different fix value on each row, such as:

    • Monday
    • Tuesday
    • Wednesday

and the rest, unfortunately, it is not possible within the Confirgurable List. However, if it is a fixed value for each row, you can consider adding static within the Confirgurable List.

Kindly reconfirm again if the different fix values on each row's example above are as what you thought it would be, so we can help you escalate this ticket as a feature request to our back-end team for evaluation. If not, please provide us with additional information so we can better assist you.

Hello Jessica, thanks for your answer. Yes, it was a fix value on each row (Monday, Tuesday, etc). It would be great if the Configurable Lists Widget included this option.

    Hi,

I will escalate this as a new feature for our backend team to consider.

Hopefully they are willing to implement this in the future.

You may checkout the Input Table field instead of Configurable List Widget.

The Input Table field allows multi-type fields in each column and can also have static labels.

    Hi Yau_C

Thanks for the suggestion. I am not sure it applies to the Opening Times case though. The multi-type fields on the Imput Table don't seem to include any times-of-day field, am I right? This is what you need the user to enter. For example, your table would have Days of the Week (Monday, Tuesday, etc) as column headers and 2 rows with From (time) and To (time) as headers. All you need to know are the opening and closing times, ideally in time of day format, so that you can avoid typos.

I also think the option of including headers for the rows (or fields with fix values) on the Configurable Lists is a great option for many other cases, not just timetables. There are many instances where one might need users to provide different types of information for a predefined item. Imagine the following question in table format (these would be the column headers):

Service type (fix value field) | Price in GBP (numerical field) | Is this a fix price or a "starting from" price? (single choice field)

(You may want to use the Service type field as row headers when you are only interested in some of the services)

The input table doesn't have a time format.

Can you please explain further how you would like your form to work?

Do you want to get the time-in and out of your form respondents?

    Looking forward for your response.

Opening times, for example, Mondays from 9am to 6pm. On the field corresponding to column Mondays, row From, you could see for example a drop down with hours (12am to 12pm) and minutes (00 to 59). In any case, we can work with the Imput Tables as they are now, this is just a nice option to include on them. The Configurable Lists Widget was a bit more interesting as it opens options to other questions as well. Thanks.

Using the Configurable List widget, if we include a dropdown field for each row where your respondent can select the days of the week, would that work?

If not, how about we use custom CSS codes to show the Days of the weeks for each row? However, the text will not be included in the submission, would that work?

We will wait for your response.
