I am familiar with how the ssl submissions work and changing whether or not the form is secure or not.
However, with one of my forms (40472027165853), this isn't working and my form is using ssl submissions when I don't want it to.
The checkbox in the embed section where you specify where or not you want it to be secure or not is unchecked (i.e unsecure). However the related URL, next to the checkbox displays HTTPS.
I don't need my forms to be secure, and I don't want them to count toward my ssl submissions as that will affect my account usage.
Can this be fixed please.

I cloned your form and could work with SSL checkbox. I kindly ask you to clear your browser's cache. If this doesn't solve the problem you can manually change the embed url on the embedding code from: https://secure.jotformpro.com/form/40472027165853 to http://form.jotformpro.com/form/40472027165853
Example of Iframe embedding code:
<iframe id="JotFormIFrame" onload="window.parent.scrollTo(0,0)" allowtransparency="true" src="https://secure.jotformpro.com/form/40472027165853" frameborder="0" style="width:100%; height:7190px; border:none;" scrolling="no"></iframe>
Kindly let us know if you need more assistance.
