Assigning Submittals

We have a group of 10 to 12 persond who review submittals. We would like to assign them sequentially as they are received. The new assignment tool has a lot of features but I didn't see a way to use it to do what we want. Any suggestions?

    Greetings,

If I understood correctly you'd like to assign the forms to the team members one by one? Unfortunately, this feature is not available. If you could give us a more detailed description of your requirement then we can open a feature request for this.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks

You understood correctly. Currently I use a one digit random number to assign submittals to reviewers but that only works if we have 10 reviewers (or I guess 14 if I used an alpha). It would be better if they could be assigned sequentially. the url of one of the three forms we have is https://form.jotform.com/210024715363142

You mentioned 3 forms, so you'd like submissions that come from all of these 3 forms to be assigned to your checkers sequentially?

Unfortunately, that is not possible since submissions for each form are independent from other forms. So there is no way to generate a number/ID that can be shared among the 3 forms.

I'm afraid you will have to do this manually or using a third-party app.

The three forms are independently each other. If there were a way to assign submissions sequently, I would set it up on each of the forms.

I tried to find a solution for what you want, unfortunately, I am unable to find any that will be generated as soon as the submission is sent.

However, what you want can be achieved by using the Unique ID widget and some calculations if you edit the submission.

This is because the Unique ID widget is only generated after submission, so the calculations only work after editing the submission.

But to clarify when I say edit submission, you simply click edit submission and click the submit button without actually making any modifications on the submission.

Do let us know if you want this workaround.
