I'm wondering if jotform is going to improve the issue with the email notification any time soon..... the current system is in my view dangerous because if my smtp sender account changes or breaks then clients don't get emails. Before when jotform handled it all it was simple. make the form > setup notifications > done. Now the whole thing is fragile.... and you don't want fragile when it comes to the lifeblood of your website... the incoming leads.
Solve this issue and I'll start using and recommending jotform.

Hi, have you tried whitelisting our Jomail IP addresses within your email server? (or ask for it to your email server provider)
JOTFORM IP LIST:
Also you may use Mandril SMTP to send emails, please take a look at this guide to use Mandrill to send emails from you own email address.
