Can I cut and paste elements from one form into another?

Asked by TSellers on February 24, 2014 at 09:55 PM

I have an Order Form with products on it. On the botton there were the sections to collect information from the submitter, but somehow when I edited the form, I lost those bottm sections. I don't want to roll back in revision history and lose all my edits.

I do have those same sections at the bottom of some other forms however, so I created a new form that just contains those elements I need. Now I'm trying to figure out if I can merge that form to the bottom of my existing one, or if I can cut and paste those sections in?

    Thanks.

    Hello TSellers,

Though you cannot cut and paste form fields from one form to another, you can take advantage of our  app "Field Manager" to achieve your requirement: http://apps.jotform.com/app/field_manager

    You can also visit http://fieldmanager.jotform.io

Field manager app will give you flexibility to copy/clone one or more field from one form to another. Please try this app and get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

Tried it, and I was suprised that it worked so well, looks like a lot of thought went into getting that app to run smoothly. Thanks for the head's up, I shoul dhave asked sooner instead of trying to monkey wrench the form in the Dreamweaver Code!

I guess I spoke too soon. This app only works if it can access the 'perfect form'. It does not work on half my forms as it just hangs forever, unfortunately those are the ones I need to merge. Plus it even merged the same form into itself once instead of the form that was picked. It cannot see the see forms that werre cloned even after 6 hours. Is there any possible other way to merge elements from one form into another?
