I am creating a form where the user can select the name of the person from a drop down list and after the user submits the form, the autoresponder goes to the person's email (whose name was selected from the list). Right now, I have included the email addresses in the drop down list instead of the names. How can I put the names there and have a background email address connectivity so that the user just sees the name and not the email address.

Nope, my question was - how can i assign an email address to a name on the form. Like on the form, there is a drop down which shows the name "Scott" & "Harry". I want that if the user select "Scott", the system understands "Scott@gmail.com" and if user select "Harry", the system should understand "Harry@yahoo.com".
How can i do this ?

Thank you for clarifying that.
Actually the guide I provided will work already for your requirement for the capability to send the autoresponder e-mail base on the selected Name.
It is on step #4 of the guide
Example, using the image above for reference. If the dropdown field selected value is "Scott & Harry", then Send E-mail to "Harry@yahoo.com"
I created a sample form and the conditioned auto e-mail. You can check how I setup the condition
This is the test form http://form.jotform.me/form/40632580868461? .
If you select a name either Tom, Dick, Harry on the dropdown, the auto responder e-mail will be sent to the assigned e-mail address after the form is submitted.
Inform us if still not what you need.
