How can I get the "total" amount from my calculation widget to automatically feed into my paypal custom amount?

Asked by Susan Parke-Sutherland  on March 16, 2014 at 06:46 PM

I've set up my form so that customers are selecting various products and amounts, and can then choose to pay with a check or with paypal. I've included calculating widgets into the form so that customers can see their totals. For those who wish to pay with paypal, I'd like for the amount from the "total" widget to automatically feed into the paypal amount field. I see there is an option for this if I go to paypal field properties-->custom field--> totals. I've tried this, but it doesn't seem to work. Any tips?

    Hello Susan,

Unfortunately, we do not have such feature. JotForm's paypal tools cannot be used that way currently. To achieve your requirement, you will have to download your form's source code and add custom JavaScript to copy the amount from "Form Calculation" widget to the paypal donation/custom amount field.

Please be noted that if you embed your form with its source code, any changes you make in editor will not be visible in your web page. You will have to download your form's source code again and embed it. Do get back to us if you want to take the source code route and we will help you with the custom JavaScript.

    Thank you!
