    Asked by onestopsailing on March 17, 2014 at 05:21 AM

    Hi,

    I'm wanting to have a form pop up when somebody presses a Contact Us button. I did try and play with the Feedback option, but after taking out the aligns it just comes along the right hand side.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Alasdair

    Can you please share with us the URL of the webpage where your form is embedded? That way we will be able to further investigate.

    Also, please provide more details about which aligns you took out.

    Please note that top change the position you have customize the button from the Embed Form Wizard.

    A more extended information of what you are trying to achieve would help us to give you a better assistance.

    We will wait for your response.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    What I'm trying to do is replace the current default buttons on this webpage: http://www.alsboden.co.uk/oss/?page_id=113 so where you see "book now" and "Ask a question", that's where I want to add the new buttons/forms.

    I posted this on the above page settings where I wanted it:

    <script src="//cdn.jotfor.ms/static/feedback2.js?3.2.913" type="text/javascript">
      new JotformFeedback({
         formId        : "40725315190347",
         buttonText    : "Message Contact Form",
         base        : "http://jotformeu.com/",
         background    : "#F59202",
         fontColor    : "#FFFFFF",
         type        : false,
         width        : 700,
         height        : 500
      });
    </script>

    Cheers,

    Hi,

    What you want to achieve is possible using LightBox with the same style of Feedback embedding method.

    <script src="//cdn.jotfor.ms/static/feedback2.js?3.2.923" type="text/javascript">

    new JotformFeedback({

    formId:'40755404365959',

    base:'http://jotformpro.com/',

    windowTitle:'Clone of Message Contact Form',

    background:'#FFA500',

    fontColor:'#FFFFFF',

    type:false,

    height:500,

    width:700

    });

    </script>

    <a class="lightbox-40755404365959" style="cursor:pointer;color:blue;text-decoration:underline;">Clone of Message Contact Form</a>

    What you only need to do is replacing the text "Clone of Message Contact Form" with your <img> tags so it becomes:

    <script src="//cdn.jotfor.ms/static/feedback2.js?3.2.923" type="text/javascript">

    new JotformFeedback({

    formId:'40755404365959',

    base:'http://jotformpro.com/',

    windowTitle:'Clone of Message Contact Form',

    background:'#FFA500',

    fontColor:'#FFFFFF',

    type:false,

    height:500,

    width:700

    });

    </script>

    <a class="lightbox-40755404365959" style="cursor:pointer;color:blue;text-decoration:underline;"><img src="Your Image URL here!" /></a>

    If you need further assistance, please do let us know.

    Hi, thanks for that. The Light box is exactly what I was looking for. However I can't get it too work. I have also copied what you put in above, but when I click on it there seems to be a fault as it doubles up.

    Hi,

    Sorry but I'm not sure what mean by "it doubles up". I checked the web page and each lightbox appears to load just fine on my end. However, there used to be an issue where inserting multiple JotForm lightbox forms in a page caused issues in IE. Just to be on the safe side, try Liyam's solution in this thread and let us know if retaining just one instance of the script resolves the issue.

    Thanks

    I do notice that the lightbox initially loads large and then shrinks. Is that what you meant?

    Hi,

    The jot form issue I'm having is on this page: http://www.alsboden.co.uk/oss/?page_id=113 and it's the link "Booking Enquiry Form"

    When you click on it the dialogue box doubles up. I've checked it in Firefox, Chrome and IE.

    Any ideas of issues?

    I can see what you mean in regards to this problem. I believe this is most likely happening because you are running the same form script in several sections of your website on the same page so this usually causes that problem with the doubling since it is not something that is recommended.

    As far as I know you can use multiple duplications aka clones of the form which should work since they are technically run as separate forms in example as this is what we would normally recommend to resolve that issue. However, Using the exact same script for the same form each time then in this instance it actually breaks it and causes the doubleling effect on forms which you are seeing.

    You can refer to this thread for further details on this known problem:  https://www.jotform.com/answers/25530-Can-I-call-a-form-from-two-different-places
