    I need real time data similar to a gold price to appear on my form.

    Asked by bitcoinecuador on March 18, 2014 at 02:59 PM

    I need to create a form similar to this:  http://cashintocoins.com/

    The top price fultuates with the market price, similar to the gold market.

    How can I bring data like this into my form?

    Thank you for contacting us.

    It should be possible with a custom programming. We would like to recommend you to check this and this link to get the idea.

    Please feel free to contact us if you need any further assistance.

    Cool.

    I have the html now to do this.

    I want it to appear at the top of my form.

    $.ajax({
    url: "https://coinbase.com/api/v1/prices/buy";,
    type: "get",
    dataType: "jsonp",
    success: function(data) {
    alert(data.amount);
    },
    error: function(status) {
    alert("hello");
    }
    });

    How do I do this?

    this is an example of how I would like it to appear:

    http://cashintocoins.com/

    It is a price that is constantly updating.

    This is the website that the form is on: http://www.bitcoins.com.ec/

    Thanks so much :)  Jotform is amazing!!

    For the ajax script you would need to reference it via an embedded or external file through your form's source code. I've played with this a little bit but it is giving me some trouble and conflicting with our library so I will need some more time to try to figure this out better. If myself or one of my colleagues are able to come up with something then we'll let you know as soon as we can.

    Alternatively, You can also try using an embeddable Bitcoin Tracking Widget but you'll have to search the web for those and find the one you want. And you would also have to embed it into the form source.

    Example: http://btcquote.com/

    That would be great BUT the prices on that widget are different than the prices we need.

    However, I found this widget:  https://www.firebase.com/blog/2013-10-25-btcquote-bitcoin-price-ticker.html

    Ideally what I want to do it to take the price data and add it to a calculation that I want to create on the form.

    REAL time BOTCOIN price data

    then the amount of USD that they want to spend (the currency is converted)

    and then add a percentage that is determined by the form of payment selection.

    I had a developer create the original code so I will also ask him again but you guys are awesome and super pros... any help/solutions is wonderful!!!

    Thank you thank you thank you,

    Hi, you can find programmers in www.odesk.com, or www.elance.com, in order to help you work this out using the source code of the form.
