Is there a way to setup multiple filesize limits based on file types:
For example, limiting any jpeg/jpg files to 5MB while png, pdf to 1MB, etc?...

Unfortunately, no, it is not possible to set the different upload size limit based on the file type. One way to achieve your requirement is by adding a separate file upload field for each file type and set the upload file size limit.
Please take a look at the following demo form where I have added separate file upload field for jpg/jpeg and png/PDF with different upload limit: https://form.jotform.com/213113834925049
Hope this helps.

Thank you for contacting JotForm Support
The reference that you have is only the way to put a limit on the file upload widget as of the moment. There's no workaround yet on this concern.
We will update you once there will be a workaround for your concern.
If you're going to ask our suggestions we're going to separate the file uploader widget per file
1 widget for jpeg, 1 for PNG, etc. so in that way we can put a limit on the file/s to be uploaded.
For further concern please don't hesitate to post your concern on our Support Forum Page
Hope this helps!
