Multiple form submission breaching inventory limit

    I am testing the inventory widget and can see that if multiple people open the form simultaneously before the limit is reached, then they can all submit the form with a total resulting in breaching the quantity limit set on the inventory widget. How do I overcome this issue?

    @pcheng1110

    Thank you for reaching out.

    I cloned your form and tested it. I was also able to select the Premium with two available units and submit it three times. However, by the fourth time, it had been updated.

    When testing a second time using both fields, making sure to set everything up so all I had to do was submit in all tabs I could only submit twice, not exceeding the limits.

    Unfortunately, there is no way to make it update any faster. How much traffic are you expecting on your form? Would it be possible to share the form in batches? Perhaps you can control the traffic in that way?

    Let me know.

    Hello Patrick,

    With the inventory widget, I was not able to make it work.

    But using stock control on the Product List field, I was able to make it work. And I was unable to go over the stock limit even when doing multiple submissions within a second.

    On the first submission done after the stock is empty, the submitter gets this message when trying to submit:

    1637153957_6194fca509d61_

    Please see here for how to set it up: How to enable and manage product stock

    If you're not looking to collect the payments directly on the form, you can use the "Purchase Order" payment method for your Product List.

    Would it work for you to use this instead of the inventory widget?

    Best regards,
    Lars
