I would like to concatenate the unique id field and a user entered text field to fill a third field

We are looking to have a field (Task Name) be a combination of the Unique ID and a user entered text field. Every time I try to use the Unique ID as part of a concatenate field or copy the value to a different field it is always blank. It seems the Unique ID is not being generated until the form is submitted somewhere at the end of the process.

Is there a way to capture the Unique ID field and combine it with another field to create a our 'Task Name' info?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,

That is not possible. Because as you might have noticed, the Unique ID is being generated after the form is submitted. This means it will always be blank while the form is still being filled up and we can't use it on conditions.

One workaround that you can consider is using the Random Value Generator.

This widget can generate the same combinations as Unique ID. The only difference is that it's not unique. You will get the same set of numbers at one point. But since you're going to combine it with another text field, then it will still be unique, in a sense.

I hope this answers your question. If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Thank you!
