    troubles in firefox and chrome

    Asked by paulrichard on March 25, 2014 at 11:31 AM

    God afternoon,

    I made a jotform for my website, but i have some problems in the view in Firefox and Chrome.

    In a view standard I see the page quite well. When I use the zoom the view of the form is not aligned with everything else. When I reduce the zoom, the form reduces less than the whole page.

    Any suggests?

    Thank you

    Upon checking the form in your site, I see you embedded the form using the source code. Can you please remove the whole source code and use the iFrame code instead?

    But when I embedded the form, then, I made some small change directly in the source code. In the iframe code I think I can't do it.

    Thank you

    Hello Riccardo,

    In that case, please try the following:

    1. Inject the following CSS to your form:

    #input_61 {
        width: 100%; /*This wil keep the text box from overflowing when zoomed in or out*/
    }

    2. You may have to adjust the general height of the page, because it gets cut off at the bottom of the page while viewed in firefox:

    Try injecting the following CSS:

    .form-textarea {
        width: 95%;
    }

    Let us know if this helps

    I can't solve the problem of the height. The width is ok.

    Doing the zoom in and out, the form goes out of the borders on my page, like you see in your screencapture.

    Using the iframe code, the form doesn't go out, but if i zoom out, i can't see a piece of the form. However i can't use the iframe code, because I want to do some small changes the html code

    Thanks a lot

    Hi Riccardo,

    Can you please try using this CSS code instead

    #input_61 {

    width: 770px !Important;

    }

    Make sure to remove first the previous CSS code provided by our colleague so that it does not conflict with each other.

    Inform us of the result.

    Thanks.

    Unfortunately It doesn't work

    In the max zoom out, the page is zoomed out more than the form (only in the height). So the form is cut.

    The problem is the height, not the width

    Thank you

    Can you try to use a Text field instead of the Text Area on the form?

    If you would like to add a scrollbar, please follow the next guide:

    Creating a Scrollable Terms and Conditions

    Thank you.

    I followed your suggests, but I have a problem. I put the text field and followed the instructions to put a scrolling. When done, I see the text area with the scroll bar, but when I close and reopen the website, I dont' see the scroll bar anymore.

    However the text field is better but it does'nt solve my zoom problem

    Thanks for your support

    Hello Ricardo:

    I notice that all the advice we have provided actually works - you just have to implement it correctly:

    When you update anything on your form in the form builder, you have to get a fresh copy of the source code so that it can be put on your website.

    Alternatively

    On your source code, find the place where /*Injected CSS*/ is located, and add the CSS that applies to #input_61 (as adviced before in regards to width) under the comment.

    When you do so, please let us know so that we can examine and advice.

    Thank you for your patience.

    I've always say that the problem of the zoom in horizontal is solved. I've not refresh the page yet, because I'm working in local mode, to try to solve all the problems before refresh

    The problem remain in vertical. As you can also see in your video, if I zoom in Firefox the form goes upon the marges of the page only at the bottom of the page, not up, not right, not left, Only down... (the whole of the form, i'm not talking about the text area) That doesn't happen in Internet explorer (when I zoom in Internet explorer, the form zooms together with all the page, In Firefox it zooms in a different way than the other things of the page).

    In firefox and chrome, in minimum zoom  i can't see all the form. The form is cut. Your advices don't solve this problem.

    In your video I see you're working only on the width and not on the height (the height is my problem)

    What about the scrollbar of text field?

    In my jotfotm profile, I put the text field and followed the instructions to put a scrolling bar. When done, I see the text area with the scroll bar, but when I close and reopen my jotform profile, I dont' see the scroll bar anymore.

    Thanks you for patience

    Hello Riccardo,

    Upon checking webpage, I do not see any issue with the height of the form or the text area. Please check the screenshot below:

    When I see your form currently, it seems the zoom and also the scroll bar seems to work just fine. Can you please point out what abnormal behavior you see in the above image?

    We will wait for your response.

    Thank you!

    @Riccardo,

    When using the Text tool try adding this

    when you edit the HTML of the Text field this should add the scroll bar.

    and in your form source try adjusting the form height to 1200px;

    .form-all{

    width:850px;

    height:1200px;

      background:url("http://jotformpro.com/images/brushed.png") center rgb(153, 153, 153);

      color:#000000 !important;

      font-family:'Verdana';

      font-size:12px;

      }
