App -> Passing data between forms like URL parameters when the forms are in an app

Hello! I know how to send a form variables through the URL parameter generally; is it possible to send any variables (particularly a unique ID) when the form is embedded in a Jotform App?

I know I can require users to sign in to access the app. What I'd really love is to be able to pass their email address (or any other unique ID parameter) to any of their form submissions, so that I can see in my tables not only that a submission came from that source app, but that it came from X specific account.

Is this possible? Worst case I can always ask people to manually enter their email address on each form, but it'd be really awesome to pass it through automatically and tag all their form submissions together.

    Hello,

I'm not finding any ways of being able to pass data between forms using an app, since if you create a redirect URL it takes you straight to that form after the form is filled and if you submit it there it doesn't keep track of it in the app for status. I'll make this a feature request for you to be able to pass data between forms on the app, but have no guarantee that it will be implemented or have any time frame of when it would get done if they do add it.

If you need this done now I would suggest just having a series of forms that redirect using URL parameters.

Okay, thanks for the quick reply! I'll manage some workaround, but it'd be wonderful if there were a way to (in the settings of the form widget within the app) pass parameters. Even if it's just a single parameter identifying the user, since that's known if they're signed into their account, it'd be a super handy feature.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

My colleague has raised a feature request to our back-end team with your request already.

We will notify you once the feature gets implemented.
