Do I have to embed the code in a web site? I just want to send out an email to my volunteers and ask them to submit their hours each month.

Once your form is ready, you can click on "embed" and just copy the first link and send it to your volunteers. They will be able to access the form and you will get their submissions. I'd also suggest adding a month dropdown selection after "I put the following hours on {{month dropdown}}" instead of just "this month". Might help you filter and track your data better once info starts piling up. Hope it helps.
