    Error Message when uploading files: "You have uploaded an invalid image file type".

    Asked by AlanDobson  on April 04, 2014 at 06:07 AM

    I've been testing a new form using Chrome and when trying to upload any file type I recieve this message "You have uploaded an invalid image file type".

    I've tried both iframe and script, changing the file extensions and using *, turning "validate image" off and on...and various combinations of all of the above.

    Can anyone help with this?

    JotForm please resolve this issue urgently. It renders my forms completely unusable. To expedite things a little, it seems like it's an issue in you JS validation:

    if(validateImage&&(validateImage==='yes'||validateImage==='true')&&(file.type.match("image"))&&(validatedImageExt.include(ext)||validatedImageExt.include(ext.toLowerCase())))

    {return JotForm.corrected(upload);}else{return JotForm.errored(upload,"You have uploaded an invalid image file type.");}

    should probably be something like:

    if(validateImage&&(validateImage==='yes'||validateImage==='true')){if((file.type.match("image"))&&(validatedImageExt.include(ext)||validatedImageExt.include(ext.toLowerCase()))){return JotForm.corrected(upload);}else{return JotForm.errored(upload,"You have uploaded an invalid image file type.");}}
