Conditional Logic: Ability to export and import submissions.

    Hello:

After reviewing the forums, I do not believe these features exist. I would like to reqeust them.

    1) Spreadsheet to form widget - Allow the widget to include logic the same as your back end logic. Most importantly, this includes calling other field value as a curly bracket and number. For example, have a spreadsheet Column A with an ID1. When ID 1 is called the result could be ={66} + {78} where both of those ids match fields on the form. This would allow one to create all logic in a spreadsheet and upload it straight into jotform, potentially simplifying the process and reducing time to create a form. Special characters/designators can be used for hiding or showing a field. For example, under ID 111, %{65} could potentially mean hide the field associted with the number {65}.

    2) Allow someone to export logic and upload it to another form with the same fields. Essentially, your merge feature allows one to copy fields over to another form. However, one would then have to reprogram all the logic. This can be tedius if there are a large number of rules. An export import option would solve that.

I think this would really advance the value of the already robust jotform product.

I think both features are somehow related and this can be resolved by having the option to import or export conditions, setting up all the logic within a document linked to the Spreadsheet to Form widget may be a bit tricky to implement. However, I'm passing the request to import/export submissions to our back-end team, note that we cannot provide an ETA, but we will keep you updated via this ticket.

If you think I misunderstood the first request, feel free to provide more details.

I think the first part is slightly differnt.

For example, using conditional logic, I can create the following:

If field What is your name?

    is filled

    Calculate a fields value

    My name is {01}

    into field: name sentence.

alterntively, I could also have a spreadsheet to form -

cell A1 would be key Cel B1 would be Name sentence

    cell A2: 01 Cell B2: my name is {01}.

Then I could create a form conditional logic that states that if "what is your name" is filled, calculate the value 01 for the spreadsheet to form widget.

This would allow me to generate any number of sentences and calcuate the values and have a dynamic output with signfiicantly less programming.

Since the jotform's existing conditional logic allows the use of curly brackets to call a field value, the system appears ready to make this transition with little effort. In any event, its something for you guys to consider.

    I hope that makes sense.

    Hello,

This feature request has been made, while we can't guarantee that it gets implemented or provide and ETA of when it does if it does get added, you'll be notified here if it does get added at some point in the future.
