How can I create a field that requires a specific promo code? The user will receive a promo code in a purchased book and then go online to receive their gift. If they do not enter the correct code into the form, it will not submit.

First of all, thank you for using JotForm.
In order to do that, you can hide the submit button unless entered the correct promo code. This is obtained with the help of JotForm's Conditional Logic . I've attached some illustrations on how it works.
After creating your form, under the "Setup & Embed" tab, click "Conditions". (Click on the image to enlarge)
Select "Show/Hide a Form Field".
Create the conditions for our submit button.
Click the "Add New Rule" to add other promo codes. The following are the promo code samples:
The final output would be like this one below.
You can see this form in action through this link http://www.jotform.com/form/12083803286
You should remember that our promo codes are case sensitive.
Hope this helps.
