Emails were deleted from one form and now e-mails look different

Having multiple issues with new look of software.

For one, all e-mail notifications were deleted from this form:

    https://www.jotform.com/build/63325232341142

Once we added the e-mails back, now the email is jumbled and doesn't look the same as before. Our other forms which used the same default e-mail layout still look like the old version (which is great!)

    Hello,

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

You can edit and customize the email template on your form to have it look as to how you wanted it to be.

Please check this guide on how to edit the email template for notification and autoresponders.

How to Edit the Email Template for Notifications and Autoresponders

Please note that the Form Builder auto-updates the email templates. However, if you do any modification to the table, it will be considered as a custom template, and the Form Builder will stop or disable the auto-update.

Let us know if you have any questions.

I was using the standard e-mail template and everything was working great. Now, my e-mails look different and 'jumbled' up. Specifically the on the 'Input Table' elements.

    Hello,

I cloned both the forms with IDs of 63325232341142 and 63325527101143. I first deleted all the notification emails set on those forms, created a new one, then did a test submission. I'm also getting the same type of email format you got.

It seems that this is the default email format for notification emails.

Do you have any other forms which use the old email design? Please provide us with their form URLs so we can check on our end. Also, besides the change of look in the email, are you encountering any issues with this email design? After checking the email I notification email I received, all the form fields and submission data are displaying properly on my end.

Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

This still isn't fixed. The formatting in the e-mail when using the Input Table is jumbled and please needs fixing.

    Hello,

I consulted this with my colleagues and it seems I was right. Any newly created email notification will automatically use the new email format. However, there's a workaround you can do to get the old look for the email notification.

1.) Go to the form where you're still receiving the old email format. I think your form CVL-RM South Maint Forklift Pre-Use (https://form.jotform.com/63333169475158) is still using the old email format.

2.) On the Form Builder, go to Settings > Emails > Notification Email settings > then copy the Source Code of the email

3.) Once copied, go to the form where you want to use the old email format.

4.) Follow the same steps. Go to the form's notification email settings then replace the email's source code with the one you copied from the other form.

5.) The only tedious thing you need to do next is you need to replace each Question Texts and Form Fields on the email content since the email content layout including the form questions and fields are replaced with the ones from the other form. You only need to manually type the form question texts since you can easily replace the form fields using the Form Fields dropdown.

6.) Once done, the notification emails you should receive for that form should display the old email format.

I also attached a screencast below for a visual demo of the steps I mentioned above.

I believe there is a miscommunication here. I tried creating a new e-mail format with no html at all and only put in {straightener18}. Upon testing, the formatting is still wrong when sent. Please look at the pictures again on the first column of the input table. On the original picture, the long description is spaced out to one line. On the new e-mail format, the column width is narrower causing the long description to be jumbled. I do not have control on what happens inside the {straightener18} element. This is on JotForm side and not the e-mail format side.

    With no html at all here is the result with just using {straightener18}

Seehow the first column is narrowed to where the words how many line items instead of before where it is on one line? It is formatting that takes place inside the {} I cannot control.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for getting back!

I've tested your form and I am also getting the same as the email notification you received.

I was unable to edit the first column to make it in one straight line. As mentioned by my colleague, all new emails will have the same notification as above. However, we suggest you to please copy the source code of the old email and replace the new email's source code.

Let us know if this works for you.
