Populating a form from another form is a really hard task. So, I don't think an easy, step by step tutorial is possible. To do it right, you need to hire a programmer.

You also want to keep track of user I guess. So that the user does not have to re-enter the same data on the second form.

Can you describe how it will work in more detail?

Hi All I want to do is have on my home page a simple form that collects
name, what service they want dates and then when they submit it takes you
to another form that then askes some more detailed questions. I have read
the info on your site as to how to do this and it says to go into the page
source to copy the fields that you would like to autofill and then put them
into a url but it doesn't tell you where the new url is or how to link the
forms. I understand quite a bit when it comes to web design etc but your
answers on the web are way to complicated for me
    Kind Regards

    Hello,

The forms created from our builder can be embedded on any website, and can be linked to each other.

I would propose that you create both forms (The simple one, and the in-depth one) with Jotfrom, which two can easily be linked using prepopulation via a URL querystring.

Would this be an approach you are willing to follow? It is simple, and you will have the requsite support since both forms (the simple one, and the in-depth form) will be built on our plaform

Otherwise, prepopulating different forms running on different platforms may require you to solicit the advice of a programmer

    Looking forward to your response.

Hi yes this is what I am planning on doing so both forms will run on your
platform but I do not understand the process of getting the information
from the simple form to copy over to the more complex form

Please  Go ahead and do the following:

    1.  Using our form buider - prepare the two forms

    2. Take a note of which values (form fields) you would like to pass from one form to another

    3. Tell us where you want to embed the forms on your website

Once all the three steps have been completed - we shall advice on how you can pass the values in #2 from the first form to the second - we look forward to your response.
