How can I have an edit link url parameters on my site

Asked by frud on August 04, 2011 at 04:37 PM

I have a form embedded in  my webpage, and it is working well with url parameters etc. Is there any way I can give a edit link to my form on my site with url parameters? I tried  myform.html?formID=XXXXXXXX&sid=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&mode=edit but this did not work for me. I also had issues putting a normal edit link on the thank you page - when I wrapped it in a html anchor tag, it kept putting a / in front of the url so I was getting http://jotform.com/{edit_link}. Any ideas on this?

Unfortunately the edit link will not work as you envisioned. URL parameters will work only with form fields, i.e. "myform.html?firstName=Neil" (granting that the form is embedded using Source Codes).  The edit link's parameters, on the other hand, will never work in embedded forms.

As for your second question, it is a known bug and I have already submitted a corresponding report ticket to our developers. We will let you know once this gets rectified. Thank you for your patience!

That's fine, it's just that my form will be using modified source code to display a calculated total. Is there any way I can get this source to diplay on an edit page?

The edit page is called upon using this URL structure:

Which means that Jotform uses a special php file (form.php) to load the stored values and to save it in the appropriate database entry. It is different from the page that loads the blank form.

I tried my best but I could not think of a way to implement what you want. Sorry.
