Create a message and send an email to a person selected from a dropdown list

Asked by Wince on August 05, 2011 at 01:00 PM

I saw this request twice in 2010 ... but no replies

Our club has 80 member with 10+ commitees, a Pres, a VP, Exwc committee etc.

It would be nice to create a message in a field, select the recipient from a dropdown and push submit

Further, it would be needed that multiple members of a selected commitee all get the message

    Possible?

    thank you,

    Vince

    Vince,

You can utilize conditions and our built-in E-mail Alert system to implement such a workflow.

Insert a text area in your form. This shall server as the 'message' field.

Insert a drop down box, then add all of your 10 committees' names in the option

Then, create conditions that will send the notification to different members of the selected committee

You must create conditions as many as the number of committee in your organization You can add as many email addresses in the conditional email, just make sure to separate them by a comma.

Hope you find this useful. Let me know if you need any clarification on the steps laid out in my solution. Thanks!
