CSS - Increasing dropdown items and positioning two items side by side

Asked by idanfactor on August 05, 2011 at 10:13 PM

Can I increase the size of the dropdown item?

I want it bigger (Lets say like google.com search bar).

    In addition,
I want to build select category and sub-category (dropdowns) menu/
Can I position them size by size (instead of one under another).

    BTW,
What is the best way to build category and sub-categery menus?
    (Using the Conditioning?).

    Hi idanfactor,

    Thank you for using JotForm.

You can try the following CSS codes. Hope this helps.

    .form-dropdown { padding:10px; height:70px; font-size:20px;}

    Hello idanfactor,

You can also adjust the width of your dropdown menu by editing your form, select the dropdown menu field, clicking properties tab, and adjusting its width.

I'm not sure about what you're trying to achieve on your conditional drop down menus.  Can you tell us what you mean by size by size?

    Thanks,

    liyam

    Hi.
    Thanks Liyam and Albert.
I think I just use the conditional drop down.

Can I display two dropdown items one by one (from right to left)

The default is one under another.

    Hello idanfactor,

I apologize I misunderstood your question just to later realize that it's the same question up in the title.

To make your form's drop down menus sit side by side, simply edit your form and then select the field, then press the right click on your mouse and then select Shrink.

This process is also applicable to the rest of the field items.

If it still does not go side by side, you can further adjust your form fields by aligning them

If you're having difficulty achieving this, just let us know.  If you have other questions or concerns, please don't hesitto start a new thread topic.

    Thanks,

    Liyam

    Thanks.
The option "Shrink" Works great :)
This is what I was looking for.

BTW, I don't see the option "Merge to above line". How can I see it and what it actually does?

This will only show once after you have shrinked the field.  Pressing right click again then that option will show up.

    Warm regards,

    Liyam
