I have a survey and am editing the columns and they seem to run together. Any suggestions?

    You can actually set the Cell Width to your desired width. I tried to clone your form and set it to 80. To set the Cell Width, right click the survey matrix field then choose Properties, under cell width, set it to 80. You can adjust the number higher or lower until you reached your desired width.
