Can an 'average' function be added?
I can't simply add the values and divide, since options are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, N/A. Currently a score of N/A affects the calculation (taking it as zero), when I want it to be ignored.
This is a re-post of a comment on How to Perform Form Calculation Using a Widget

I think we can add average. I sent the request to one of our developers to give it a go.

Yes I have a series of radio button questions, which are rankings of specific building related things on a scale of 1 to 5. (5 being the best)
There is also an 'N/A' option for each question, for example if a building is 1 level and doesn't have any stairs to rank.
I want to calculate an average for each page (done on the final page), however I want to calculate only numerical answers. Some of the questions require an entry of text, (i.e. a date), which will not be used in calculating the average.
Hence if an answer is 'N/A', then this value isn't included in the calculation, rather than take it as zero. Maybe this could be an option to allow users to choose if they want text taken as zero?
*Note: the sum feature isn't useful in calculating the average, since if an answer is 'N/A', it takes this as zero, and still divides it by the number of questions on the page. It would be super amazing if we could code just like excel for this widget. E.g. =AVERAGEIF(questions,"<>N/A")

Hi, do you have an idea if this can be done, and if so, an estimated timeframe?

There is no an ETA for this. However, the ticket is already assigned to our developer, Nicholas. He will get in touch with you via this thread when he got an update about it.

Great thanks! This is exactly what I need!
I’m not sure that I’m doing it correctly though – are you able to please check my account?

I notice that the total average (on the last page) is usually incorrect when calculating the averages. Is this due to rounding when making the calculations? I tried increasing from 2 to 3 decimal places, but still getting an error.
Also sometimes the other averages are a bit off too, usually if there is a great wide distribution in the answers (e.g. not all 4)

I created a new thread using your new question here http://www.jotform.com/answers/389738. We will respond to you there. This is to make sure we will be focusing on the new issue.
I will marked this original thread as closed since the original request had already been added and resolved.
