Forms that have been completed by our faculty are not showing up in our Submissions list.

    It is two or three of our forms. For example, www.jotform.com/Medicus/CCHS-JSA . Applicants state they complete the form, hit submit but it never appears as a submission on our end. Also, if they do submit and it does go through, they get an email with the edit link and when they go to the edit link – their form is blank.

    Hi Robin,

    Have you tested the form www.jotform.com/Medicus/CCHS-JSA yourself? I did, and the submission went through without any problems at all. You can check this form's submissions page to see the entry.

    I see a couple of possible reasons as to why your users cannot submit the form.

    First off, the last collapse in your form is not aligned with the whole form thereby failing to display the submit and print buttons properly.

    I have a feeling that your users weren't really able to submit the form. This can be fixed by expanding the last e-mail field right before the form collapse.

    The other possibility is that, since your form contains upload fields, they might be uploading large files that are taking a long time to finish. This leads them to think that since they have clicked the submit button, the files are already uploaded and the submission already saved, which is not the case.

    As a counter-measure, configure your upload fields to allow multiple file uploading so that a progress indicator will be shown giving them an idea as to why the form cannot submit yet.

     

    Please apply the changes I suggested in this post. Let us know if these does not help. Thanks!

    In addition to what my colleague, Neil, had stated.

    I noticed in the emal auto response that I received from your form that although the edit link appears to be complete, the clickable link when viewed in gmail was cut off.

    Here's what I mean:

    The shorter box is the only clickable part.  When someone clicks this, the user gets redirected to a blank form and I don't think it's even your form.

    To fix this, edit the content of your email alert/notification.

    1. Highlight the {edit_link}, and then click the link icon on the WYSIWYG editor

    2. A pop up will appear, type or enter {edit_link} on the Link URL and you may also select if you want it to open on a new window. Click the insert button after.

    3. Save your email alert and save your form.
