Can I use a different IPN URL?

I'm a little unsure about this also.

Does it matter what the URL is?  I thought the instructions said it doesn't.  Is there any benefit to having a specific URL?
For instance the URL for my form is in a web page at my website at: http://www.pay.cheekyface.com.au/payment/paypal/

But what I've entered into the IPN settings is what was suggested by the jotform instructions:
    https://www.jotform.com/ipns/paypal.php

Should I be using this URL instead:
    http://www.pay.cheekyface.com.au/payment/paypal/index.html
    ??????????????

You can use any other URL if you need to receive IPN outside of JotForm.

For example, if you have a website that has Paypal buttons NOT created with JotForm, and you want to receive the data for these transactions, you can enter the URL of the script that will process this data on the IPN URL setting.

JotForm-initiated transactions will always use https://www.jotform.com/ipns/paypal.php as the IPN URL no matter what URL you have set on your Paypal account.

    Ok thanks.
To be clear though, as I understand it.  I don't need to worry about this if I've use the jotform URL.  My forms have only used jotform buttons including the paypal widget.  So to my understanding this means that when the form is used and submits to paypal that a notification is sent back to jotform and then that notification is forwarded on to me via the form I created.  Is that correct?

Oh behalf of NeilVicente you are welcome and yes that is correct. The JotForm IPN is what connects the two together so that your form can communicate with your PayPal Account to gather feedback about this and then send out a notification.
