Hi,
For an individual fields in a form I often check the field details in properties to get the ID of the field so that I can apply custom CSS. It is useful to be able to access this information without having to go Into Chrome Inspector or Firebug.
However I often need to apply CSS to free text ... now called just Text in form tools. However, the details are not advised in the Properties area for this.
Could I request that the Properties function displays the ID of any text tool additions to a form as it would prevent me having to go into Firebug each time to find it.
It would be a useful and time-saving addition.
Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark,
I think this feature request have merit. Right now, the Text field ID# can only be found if you use browser inspection tools or firebug. It is nowhere to be found in the form builder itself
Let me submit this post then to our higher team support so that it can evaluated.
We will notify you for status updates when available.
Thanks!

Correction:
Sorry, I just realized that there is a way to find out the field ID# of the TEXT field within the Form Builder -- that is by viewing the form's source code itself.
Please see the screen below on where to do it
By Right-Clicking on an empty space on the canvas in the form editor, and choosing the option "View Form Source"
I will still let the ticket submitted though. I believe it is much better if the ID# is within the property of the TEXT field itself for quick access.
Thanks!

Hi jonathan,
Yeah but it is easier to just fire up the form and use Firebug or Chrome Inspector than doing the View Source Code thing.
Your proposed way is less preferable to the one I use now.
I think it would be a good addition for those who do heavy CSS injection like me ;-)
Thanks Mark

Noted Mark. I like the idea too.
I can see that this thread was already raised by my colleague as a feature request. We will keep you informed once there's any progress about this.
Thanks.

Another plus one for this feature!
@markashton, I am finding myself needing alot of the same things as you.

@wegoshop
Yes, this would make CSS injection much quicker.
Rather than going into the browser inspector to find the ID ... it would be at your fingertips in the properties of the form.
Can we have this?
