    Option to Make TimeStamp a Hidden Field

    Asked by colorado4h on August 23, 2011 at 11:12 AM

    Hi, I like that you have the option to add today's date into the form, but I don't really want for my users to necessarily see this filed and I don't want to allow them the option to change the date.  I know that the spreadsheet sorts the submissions in the order that the submissions were received, but it is sometimes helpful to also see the date/time.  I would be fine if you continue to use the existing date field, but just add an option in the properties to be able to make this field hidden.

    Thank you!

    Hi colorado4h

    Please see this page in our user guide. Alternatively, injected CSS can be used to hide the date/time field. The only problem with this second method is that users having CSS disabled (a few may) will be able to see the field. So, it's probably better to use the first method.

    Nevertheless, just FYI, to hide the date field in your 4-H Website - Feedback Form form, inject the following CSS rule:

    #id_21 {
    visibility:hidden;
    }

    If you need clarification on anything or perhaps wish to know something else about our product, please be sure to let us know. We'll be glad to help you.
