    Adding a language parameter at the end of the form is not working

    Asked by BFTrick on July 05, 2014 at 06:29 PM

    Hi @emrew86. Does this work when you have an embeddable iframe? My form embed code looks like this:

    http://form.jotform.us/jsform/12345678901234

    I tried adding a ?language=de to the end of the url but didn't see anything. Any thoughts?

    Hi,

    Yes, it works only with iframe embed code. The link you shared with us is the js code of your form. It should be like the following if you're using iframe.

    <iframe id="JotFormIFrame" onload="window.parent.scrollTo(0,0)" allowtransparency="true" src="http://www.jotform.us/form/22646799938173?language=de" frameborder="0" style="width:100%; height:478px; border:none;" scrolling="no"></iframe>

    Regards!

    Is it possible to add support for other embed options also? Because iframe is not always the best solution.

    @eiermann

    I've moved your thread here so that we can open a request about this to see if our developers will deem that as a feasible.

    Hi EltonCris,

    It looks like my code is different. I have a JavaScript file that loads an iframe. Not the other way around. Here's my code:

    <script type='text/javascript' src='http://form.jotform.us/jsform/22646799938173?language=de'></script>

    Can I continue using this embed code or should I use the iframe code you posted? Any major differences?

    That is correct. The default JS Script you are using simplifies this by loading the form through a serverside iframe into your page depending on where it is embedded. Usually when it does not work and there is some sort of conflict then this is when it is strongly advised to use a physical iFrame Code to bypass probably issues such as with what my colleague provided in his response above.

    Here's 2 comparison screenshots with the language parameter used. If your current script isn't working then try the iFrame Method as suggested.
