Hello I have this feature enabled in Approvals settings, but it fails after the approver chooses "more actions" 1652294909_627c04fddaba4_

and sends email back to submitters. Looks like using the Edit button in the email does not restart the flow. 1652294984_627c05489a143_

I have also tested the approval flow also just shortly after the submission when submitter gets this confirmation and when submitter edited from here, the approval flow restart worked. 1652295072_627c05a09c82f_

How do I make sure the Approval flow restarts even after submitter gets the email that more info are required with the edit button?

    Hi Ivana,

I have checked, Actually using the Additional Information edit button link it would not restart the approval flow. As you have already set the email for requesting the more information in your approval flow add the edit link to that email.

    1652314252_627c508c3e217_addeditlink.png

From form fields you can add the edit link and add it to the email body.

    1652314400_627c51202becc_add editlink.pn

After this use will receive the email when approver select more option and will select Contact requester. Email will be delivered to user with edit link after providing new information in form user submit and approval will start again with more information.

I hope it helps, please try these changes and let us know how it goes.

Hi Fahad, thank you so much! I am using the multistep approval and did not mean the first level of approval you described. I am probably not going to use the "contact requester" step because it does not enable to comment on the form directly from the email without logging in. But good information in general because

    1. issue the dropdown menu to add the edit link does not open for me at all in email customization 1652316608_627c59c0e9d1d_

Any way, back to my approval restart:

2.issue So it does not work on my second level approval flow.

When the approver gets the email to approve and click on more action it will take him to login page and from there he can request more info which will open the email window for him described in my first message.

    3.question.

What is the difference between this "request info"

    and this request info

    Hello Ivana,

I apologize for the long wait. First, you should be able to add the edit link from your form fields:

I also checked your second-level workflow and when using the edit link and upon submission, this restarts the approval flow. As for the Request More Information in the Approval Properties, this will enable the option to Request More Info in the inbox:

    Hi,

If I got your concern correctly, the approval workflow should restart when the approver requested more info correct? Please allow us some time to look into this. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Regards,
    Kim

That's right, if the submitter edits the form again.

We were able to recreate the issue, so I created a ticket and escalated this to our Developer team. Once we hear back from them, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

    Thank you for your patience.
