I'm (Still) Having Problems With The Conditional Dropdown Fields. Please Help?

Asked by LeascoAuto on August 25, 2011 at 11:44 AM

Although it is not happening in my Windows XP version, in Windows 7 version all forty (40) of the conditional dropdown fields are showing up on this web form. Why do these versions act completely differently for the same web form?

You must have had JavaScript disabled in the browser you're using for Windows 7. Please take this JavaScript test to confirm. If the browser failed the test, visit the link below to learn how to enable it back.

Once it is enabled, test it then let us know the results.

Please disregard my last reply. It looks like your site being flash-based is the reason why the scripts in your form won't work.

In respect to your reply with regard to the "Conditional Dropdown Fields", please note that nowhere did Jotform mention before I began this lengthy process that "HTML/JavaScript and Flash do not mingle well together". Also, to tell me NOW that "there is no possible solution to this considering that (my) form is heavily reliant on scripts", is ridiculous. I have now spent a TREMENDOUS amount of my valuable time creating a new website and building a new web form for this site. If I had known that Jotform would not be able to work on this site, I certainly would have looked at my other alternatives a bit more closely.

The bottom line, I am EXTREMELY upset. I have appreciated all of your assistance thus far in helping me build the web form that I was looking for. And, now for you to tell me that "there's nothing else I can offer" is not only insulting to me, but embarrassing to all of those people that work for Jotform. I have done EVERYTHING to have this web form work properly with every intention on eventually upgrading to a monthly subscription on Jotform.

There must be a better solution other than to say, "there's nothing I can offer". A total shame- fix the problem! By the way, as requested, I will be sure to note this properly in all of my other postings.

Please believe that I had no intention to insult anyone. The reason I said "If it does not help, then I'm afraid there's nothing else I can offer." is because problems with Flash and JavaScript often lead to a dead end unless you are able to modify the flash source code as well, which I am pretty sure Wix does not allow.

I have even referenced a link in which Wix's own support team recognizes the limitations of JavaScript in their platform.

Anyway, I've checked your site and my suggestion of using iFrame embed codes work perfectly well. Please do check it and confirm if it's working on your end the same way it is working on mine.

    Thank you very much!
