Students filling out our survey are getting a message at the end telling them they missed questions/incomplete values but the go back and fix button doesn't let them

    Hello info_info72_info50,

I have reviewed your form and it seems that you have conditional logic that skips pages with required fields. When skipping pages with required input fields, you would need to create appropriate Enable/Require Field conditional logic.

Here's how to create Enable/Require Field conditional logic:

    • In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
    • Click on Conditions on the left side of the screen.
    • Click on Add a new condition
    • Select the Enable/Require Field

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

the questions that it showed they skipped were not the ones with the conditions on it and why can't they press the "go back and fix" button if it tells them to do it??

    Hi there,

Thank you for getting in touch. I've cloned your form and run a test submission. You did well in setting up the Skip to a Page condition which is working properly as intended. There are just some required fields that are part of these Skip to a Page conditions that when these required fields are skipped, it backfires when the form is submitted.

That is causing the error below.

I may suggest following the suggestion of my colleague above. Make all these fields within the scope of these Skip to a Page conditions as not Required. Add a Require/Enable condition to have these fields required once the condition with the Skip to a Page condition is met.

Let's take an example the Skip to a Page condition below. If the answer to the question is YES, it will hide all the fields within section 3. If there are required fields within section 3, this condition will let you skip the required questions. However, once the form is submitted, the system will still detect that there are fields that were initially set as required with no answers to it so it will give the error mentioned above.

To fix this, make all the fields under section 3 not required. Then add a Require/Enable condition to make these required if section 3 shows up.

In addition, the "go back and fix" button did work during my test. I've cleared your form cache in our server to refresh the form. This should fix it.

Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.

    Regards,
